On 15 September 2020, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, in collaboration with the IEEE Power and Energy Society and the Swiss Federal Office of Energy, is hosting the next meeting of the Global Observatory on Peer-to-Peer, Community Self Consumption and Transactive Energy models (GO-P2P). This event will be held online.

Decarbonisation, decentralisation and digitalisation are reshaping the way electricity is produced, traded and consumed.

New energy models are emerging around the world. Electricity consumers may produce, individually or collectively, the energy they consume and trade surplus with their peers. Opportunities like this represent a major change from the old world where consumers were passive users of the electricity system. This creates new challenges and opportunities for electricity networks.

In this online event, open to all, leading speakers will discuss the challenges associated with integrating these new models into electricity networks, .. etc.
